Yoga and Bike Ridin'

A rare sight~both the child 'resting', and dog resting so close to the child! Pat set him all up to watch Caillou, and he was sooo proud Lucie decided to join him.
This one's for YOU, Mamie! Just yesterday he put the towel on the floor for some yoga~the boy has a memory!

Headin' out for a bike ride :)

He loves to zoom down the path and crash into the stairs at the front door!

Being nosey! He was deep in thought, staring at the hoodlum neighbours.

...and then he saw the papergirl walk by and he was comparing 'hats' :)

Two Years Ago...

Two years ago today, this is what Lucas was up to...

Laying on the couch.

In one spot.

These days, laying in one spot only happens in the middle of night when he's sleeping. He prefers to jump on the couch now. Sigh.

Easter Festivities

Decorating for Easter (Friday)

Note to readers: this display has since changed. Numerous times. On numerous surfaces.

Friday afternoon Easter egg hunt! Did any of them actually care about the eggs strewn about the yard? Nope. The toys were much more fun. This is just some of 'the gang' at Quintin's house.

Lucas and Nash, having a 'ball'.

I had to include this picture because it describes pretty much every 2 year old at the party. They'd find a cookie laying around, take a bite, and toss it for another kid to discover in 2 minutes. It's very doubtful that any one child ate any one cookie from start to finish. And we wonder where they all get colds from?

We 'tried' to get a picture of Lucas and Carter.

Part of the group before the chaos and running off! Oh, and see that slide? The kids LOVED it!

Somebody was finally pooped out and decided to go home!

Saturday: taking some of his "new" clothes for a ride in his shopping cart! Our neigbour (with 2 boys) brought over a giant bag full of clothes for Lucas! Some great finds are in that pile!

See the new haircut, too? Another tragic 20 minutes in the life of Lucas.

Easter Sunday! The Easter Bunny left a huge trail of eggs to collect.

The only problem? This boy doesn't 'collect' eggs in a basket. He likes to eat them along the way! Thankfully, I was able to stash some aside when he wasn't looking, or he would've eaten 1000 lbs of chocolate before 8am. Instead, he consumed just 500 lbs.

"Ooooh, and he left me a basket too!"

Lucas thought the stuffing should come out of the basket!

Finn, guarding his find :)

Of course, now that it's all over he carries the basket!

Cool dude in his new shades!

Pose #2. He was in the bathroom to see what the glasses looked like :)

And that, my friends and family...is where the Easter photos ended. The reason, you ask? Because that is where the happiness ended. Children who consume chocolate for breakfast are horrible companions for the rest of the day! Of course, I might be a little dramatic, he was good at my Mom's house (for some of the time), and there were bits of the afternoon that were ok, but for the most part, there was a whooole lot of crying going on over such trivial things...or for reasons unknown.

New Ride

We recently purchased a new 'ride' for Lucas and baby #2. I've been looking for months, both new and used...and finally found one on clearance in Victoria. It's got a seat up front for baby, or you can attach the carseat there. The back has a bench with a seatbelt for Lucas, or he can stand facing forward and hang on to the handles. I just pulled it out of the box today and the boys were SO excited to try it out! Funnily enough, Lucas only wanted to sit up front...I don't think he realizes yet how cool it is to ride on the back :)

So far, I'm happy with the purchase! I think I'll be even happier when I'm strolling around with my two munckins and have the option to strap Lucas down instead of having him run wild through the stores, touching everything he desires, or dawdling his whole way back from the park!

Ready to Work

As some of you may know, one of the joys of this pregnancy is GIANT vericose veins...UGH. I recently got fitted for some support stockings, which thankfully, I only have to wear on one leg. Lucas insists on helping me put it on each morning. They are ultra tight, so you have to wear special gloves, much like gardening gloves, to put them on. Here he is modeling the gloves.

Backseat Buddies

*GASP*...it's been nearly 2 weeks since my last post, I'm sure some of you (Mom!) are probably dying for a new one by now! I have a bit of catching up to do...but here's a few pics in the meantime.
I didn't know you could get a little boy with your MegaBloks purchase!

"Ta-da!"

'Comparing' their boo-boos :) Everytime Lucas sees Pat, or we talk about him, he says "Dada, boo-boo"

Backseat buddies. Pat had an appointent yesterday, so I found a comfortable travel solution that will work for our trip to Victoria tomorrow (cast-clinic) as well. Solution: Recline the front seat all the way back (with the headrest off).

Lucas loved having a backseat buddy!

What a beautiful afternoon for a drive!

(on a side note~doesn't my 'winter' heather look fabulous?)

...and then some snackin'
