Such Fun

Coley, Gary, and Madisyn came for a visit today! The kids had soooo much fun playing together. It was great to see, as up until now, they have pretty much just done 'their own thing'.
Ball time!

Such fun!

All smiles!

Ruuuuun!

Stuffed animal toss!

Paige Visits!

Paige came over for the day on Wednesday! I think Lucie made a new best friend.

Lucie (and sometimes Finn) looove laying in the warm laundry pile. Paige had so much fun loading it all up on top of them!

Cousins, watching TV. Lucas tried to be around his big cousin as much as he could :)

"Auntie, can you pleeeease stop taking my picture?"

Christmas Cars and Mess!

Lucas got these cars from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas, and because he got sooo much stuff, we decided to put them away for another day. Well, just a week later, we pulled them out! It was like Christmas all over again!
"Hmm, which one shall I choose?"

Dangerous driver!
What our house looks like some days. This particular day was especially messy...and this was only 45 minutes after Nathan arrived. Those boys just wanted everything out!

Christmas 2010

Boy was Lucas shocked to see the presents under the tree on Christmas morning! The first thing he did was grab one, and run to Pat to show him what he found! Then, he saw the stocking. Such decisions to make~"should I see what's in the stocking, or rip open those presents?" He fluttered from one place to another, trying to figure it all out.
Wow, he was sure one spoiled boy! I think we need to clean out the baby toys and make room for all the fun new things! Thank you again, to everyone!

First up: Thomas the train!
Back to the stocking. "Hmm, what's in here?"

'Testing out' his new car on the couch. As you may recall, he likes to drive his cars, trucks, trains, etc. on the couch. So, of course, with each and every new one, he raced off to the couch!

Rip, rip, what will it be?

That boy loves his new school bus!

What a big present for a little boy!

After a failed-attempt at a nap, it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's for presents and dinner!
I don't think Paige liked her Barbie glam jet from Grandma and Grandpa! She doesn't look excited at all! So cute!

Cooking up some vegetables. That's about the closest he comes to eating broccoli and peas!

"Pleeeease take this out of the box!!!"

Looking very sleepy, but loving his new trucks from Uncle Allan!

What's inside this one, Grandma?

Getting some help from Grandpa on the next one. Looks like Grandpa had a tough time too!

"Oooooh, Thomas the train!"

Chit chatting on his new cell phone.

Can you get a 5 year old and a 21 month old to sit still for ONE picture?
Nope.

Such torture.

Something very interesting is going on there! Oh, electronics.

Hmm, this girl looks nice.

Kiss, kiss.
A great Christmas was had by all, especially the kiddies. Once complete tiredness set in, it was time to run........and run........and run. And yell........and yell.......and yell. It was so nice to see Paige and Lucas having such fun together, and gives us a little peek at the years to come. Cousins. Such fun!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Popcorn!

I don't believe Lucas has ever seen popcorn, and he definately hasn't seen it being made. He had a chair pulled up to the counter for some Christmas Eve popping fun. He was my little caramel popcorn helper!
We may not have had Mamie around this Christmas to share her special popcorn, but we weren't going to let the tradition fall to the wayside!
(And the best part, Lucas had no idea it was food. And I'm happy about that. I'm not ready for him to eat popcorn, let alone caramel popcorn!)

Boooy did he think it was funny when it started popping out!

Hungry Bunny

I guess Lucas thought 'Bunny' might be hungry. He even looked for a bib for him!

My Little 'French' Baker

Giant snowflakes have been falling on and off this morning (yay, it's not sticking though!), what a perfect day for some slow-cooker pulled-pork sandwiches.
The pork is cooking away, the homemade BBQ sauce is ready...and the french bread rolls are in the oven as I type! I am very ambitious just a few days before Christmas (if I do say so myself!)
Lucas decided he'd had enough of playing on his own while I was making the sauce, so he came to 'help' me finish up the rolls.

A little flour in a bowl should keep him busy for a few minutes!

Voila!
Ready for the final rise!

Temptation

Oops, I just remembered that I promised pictures of our Christmas tree! Better late than never!

We're sure happy we decided to put the tree behind closed doors this year!
(For those that have never seen our house, behind those doors is our family room, where Lucas spends most of his time. This way he can still see the tree, he just can't touch it!) He is not allowed at the front of the house without one of us around, but when he is allowed there, he just loooves to pull off the ornaments...two, by two :)

"I wonder if she's watching me?"
More temptation, the tree skirt!

Stockings and Cheerios

I told Lucas that this stocking "is a big sock". He took it literally.
Lucas likes to eat his Cheerios with milk now :)
Rounding up the fallen ones.
He's getting so good with a spoon!
Biiiig bite!

Crawlspace

Pat was in the crawlspace yesterday getting the Christmas decorations out~Lucas was verrry interested in this magical "hole" that just appeared in the closet! Why not start him to work down there at a young age...right Dad? (Haha, only you guys will know the meaning of that joke!)

Kids of Coastland Christmas Party!

Watching the clowns!
Tickles the clown...and...hmm, I'm not sure what her sidekicks name is!

"Can I please play under the tablecloth?"

Loving his balloon "sword" that Tickles made him!
Paige and her Daddy!

"There is NO way I'm sitting on this guy!"

"Phew, glad that's over!"

"Hmm, I wonder what's inside?"
He was pretty impressed with his present! He really wanted to open it, but we thought blocks might be better off opened at home!

Paige's turn to tell Santa what she wants!

Look at aaaaall those presents! And she was called at the halfway mark I bet!

What's it going to be?
A baby and stroller!
