Speedy

In a matter of days, Lucas has become a speed demon on his dumptruck! This morning, I turned around, and when I looked back, he had hopped on and took off at top speed!Right after I shut the camera off, he waved!

New Fun

I love to stand now! You can catch me standing a lot! One of my favourite new things is emptying out this drawer...several times a day. Just try and stop me.

I also like to climb on the couch. I'm not very good at it yet, but I certainly try. Here I am on Saturday morning trying to get my Mommy's birthday present!

...and then I opened it for her. I'm very good at opening presents.

I'm also very good at getting on my truck all by myself...and driving it forward and backward too!

It was another rainy afternoon, so my Mommy took me swimming! We haven't been since November!!! I was kinda grumpy when she took this picture, but booooy did I have fun swimming! There was a cute "after" picture of me in my t-shirt eating goldfish crackers...but then my Mommy realized it was x-rated and she tries not to put those pictures on the Internet! It's also too bad you can't see the back of my swimming shorts....a shark's mouth!

FOURTEEN Months Old!

Ok, so I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep doing the monthly photos...'cause perhaps it might be silly to have a 56 month old photo session....but I did it today anyway!

What did we do to celebrate? We had another smoothie of course! He LOVES them...and slurps them back faster than anything else he eats/drinks!

Growing, growing, growing. He's got a lot of new skills to share with you...but they are hard to document, so be patient people, it's coming soon. :)
(Note his big toe. That, people, is what happens when you decide to skip the shoes when going for a 'drive' in the little car. He would NOT stop dragging his foot, resulting in holes in the socks and a bloody toe. Now, the question is, what shoes do I put on him for next time? He has rather pricey shoes to be dragging face down on the cement. I guess his toes are worth more though...)

The Boy Who Wakes Up With The Birds

Can someone tell this child that 5:30am is far too early to wake up? We've been trying different bed times, but they all seem to result in the same wake-up time...sigh.

Last Week

Gasp, a whole week gone by again with no blog. How rude of me! Sorry, there are no 'stellar' photos this time, but I thought you people might like something.

Lucas finally enjoys standing! You can find him doing this almost all day long. He is standing up at everything now.

Our Weekend

Ahh, what another gorgeous weekend. Lucas and I decided to take Pat and the pooches to the seawall for their first time! We had a very nice walk in the sunshine...even though Lucie was assaulted by some old lady's old dog as she was strolling along minding her own business. Sheesh.

This was Pat's first time seeing Lucas on the swing. I'm behind them because the dogs aren't allowed in the park.

This was on the way home from Port Alberni with "Grandma B". We went there for a visit with Lucas' Great-Grandma, and several Great-Aunts, cousins, etc. A "great" afternoon! :)

Puerto Vallarta Duds

Look what I'm wearing today "Winnipeg" Grandpa and Grandma...my Puerto Vallarta duds!!! It was 24 degrees in our living room by 10am, so out came the summer clothes! We're heading for a walk pretty quick here though, so I think we may need to throw on some pants!

Ready for Summer

Hey folks~Lucas here! I wanted to show off my new suit! I went shopping with my birthday money from Mamie and Grammie and this is what I picked! I know, I know, these are not the most figure-flattering suits, but it is UPF 50 and will protect my delicate skin. I also picked a size a bit big and should be able to fit into it next year too! Good tip from a friend, who's one year older than me :) This year it's more like pants, next year, shorts! :)

Like it? I'm all ready for summer now! Bring on the sun, baby!

Grandma and Grandpa B....I picked the matching hat to finish up my other summer clothes shopping spree with my birthday money from you! Now if only I can learn to keep it on for more than 5 seconds....
