Too Small, Mama!

When getting ready to leave the house, Lucas always picks a coat and asks, "This one, Mama?" He generally picks his OWN coats, but today he jokingly picked Maliya's. I said "ok", and put it on. His response...."Too small, Mama!"

What's This?

Lucas' bottle for his doll was laying on the floor today....

"You want me to drink outta' THIS?
"Ok, I'll give it a whirl----but I'm not so sure about this!"

So Proud!

Maliya rolled over for the first time! She was in her crib, just waking up from a nap. It must've been a good one if she had the energy to roll over! I happened to see it on our video monitor!

Here she is, looking so proud of her new accomplishment!

"I can't believe I just did that!"

Heels & Bubble Baths!

Lucas found some heels today and thought he'd test them out!
"These are hard to walk in, Mommy!"

"I wonder why?"

Maliya's second bath in the big tub! No more mopping up the kitchen for this Mommy!

Turn that frown upside down!

We love our ginger girl :)

Someone looks especially like his Daddy when he's grouchy :)

5 Months...+ a Day

Little Miss Maliya is 5 Months old!!! Well, 5 months + a day. I knew all day long yesterday that I needed to take pictures, but somehow it just never happened! So, I made sure to get that done today. There are just a few though, she was rather impatient because she was hungry! A 4 hour nap will do that to you!

Look at that posture!
Lucas @ 5 months!!!

Thinking about smiling...but nah, she's too hungry for smiles!

Following in her big brothers' footsteps. What's a monthly shot without falling over?
Hahahahaha. Just LOOK at the size difference!

Ok, ok, let's be fair here. Technically, Maliya would only be 3.5 months right now...so let's just see what Lucas looked like at 3 months...
Still a big boy!!!

"Mommy, did I mention that I'm HUNGRY?"

It's dangerous work trying to get a shot of Lucas with her....he's SO dangerous around her! Like her boy romper? It was Lucas', but I thought she could wear it at home...it's so cozy!

New Hobbies

Miss Maliya is becoming a great little thumb-sucker...I wonder if the habit will stick around and she'll be like her Daddy was?!?

"Ahh, soooo relaxing!"
"What are you looking at?"

Doesn't like an audience, I guess!

Lucas needed to get out of the house this afternoon...so him and Daddy went out to shovel the tidbit of snow we got today!

Not too impressed that he was told not to shovel the gravel.

...and back to our thumb sucker. This was right before bed. I've been trying to get a shot of her favourite thumb sucking position---she likes to rub her ear with the other hand! Soooo cute!

And again, she doesn't like an audience!

"Cheeeeeese"

Retro baby!

Paige looooves to hold her baby cousin!

The girls, relaxing :)

Lucas' new fun? Puzzles!

Such concentration!

Hard to get a shot of such an active boy!

The last piece!

"Yaaaay!!!"

So proud :)

Someone thinks it's pretty funny to sit in the Bumbo!

Maliya's first time in it!

Hallowe'en 2011!

Hallowe'en was a hit this year! We tried to pump Lucas up for it as much as we could, but really, he didn't have a clue what it was all about until Hallowe'en night!

A couple of days beforehand was pumpkin carving day...and Lucas wanted nothing to do with it! He took the lid off...and that was about it. "You want me to touch THAT? I don't think so."

...but he THOROUGHLY enjoyed the finished product(s).......all 4 of them! Elmo was his favourite!

A dragon and his baby sister. The second child who didn't get a costume for her first Hallowe'en! Oh well, she had a festive sleeper at least!

Looking so cute!

Until I kicked the dragon off the chair to take pictures of....

THIS! Hahahahahaha.

Relaxing on some pumpkins :)

The dragon is too interested in the scenery!

"Now how do I get my tail?"

The ROAR he practiced for two weeks. Did he roar at ONE house while trick-or-treating? Nope.

Sad dragon?

Ooooh, Grandpa and Grandma are here!

Perhaps she should've been Elvis!

"If you leave me to go trick-or-treating...I'll cry for an hour!"

(She held true to her word!)

Trying to blow out our pumpkins!

Mr. Dragon was pretty fascinated with this tower of pumpkins!

Running along having the time of his life!

"More tandies" (candies) was the most common phrase of the night.

We also got a few "marties...home" (basically, i'm taking these Smarties home)

"Ooooh, titty tat, Mama"

One very happy, very tired little dragon. But who doesn't like to look at their "loot" when they get home?
