FOUR Months Old!!!

Wow, it's hard to believe it, but Lucas is FOUR months old today! I've been slacking in the blog department this past week, but I couldn't miss his four month milestone! These pictures were taken this morning. No need to take his clothes off for the pictures, they were already off. We're having a heatwave here in BC, for those who aren't aware...and it's sticky. YUCK. We're expecting 34 degrees all week. Lucas and I are very much looking forward to going to Grandma and Grandpa's tomorrow to enjoy their air-conditioning...oh, and to visit some family from Alberta as well! :) Poor Pat will be suffering at work while we enjoy the cool air. :( It's been a busy month for Lucas...he's holding his head up very well, he looooves to tell stories, hang onto his newly discovered FEET, play with toys, and is starting to interact with his friends at baby group (they love to smile at each other, soooo cute!).

What's a monthly photo-shoot without a baby who fell over in the process?

Madisyn was kind enough to pass along her SUPER FUN jumperoo. Today was my very first time in it, so I'm not quite sure I can jump in it yet, but I had fun sitting in it looking at all the toys!

I'm so proud of myself...I can hold my head up very well now!

...and that's Luc's 4 month celebration in a nutshell! I do have some videos I need to get on here...unfortunately, I just realized the camcorder is in my bedroom where Lucas is currently sleeping. I don't want to upload the videos THAT bad that I'd risk waking him!!! Check back for updates in the next couple of days!

Lucas loves to shove this small blanket in his face and chew on it. This is how he fell asleep yesterday morning...

Look What I Can Do!

Look at what a big boy Lucas is becoming! He can hold his head up quite well now...for short periods! He got to try out his Bumbo chair today. It was Madisyn's and she was kind enough to pass it along---Lucas doesn't mind the fact that it's purple :)

He seemed SUPER proud of himself from the second I put him in it. He was all smiles and really seemed to enjoy sitting upright like that!

Hee hee, he looks terrified in this picture. He liked it though...REALLY!

His new friend, Sophie. He's just starting to chew on her. You should see the faces sometimes though, like he's eating poison!

My Friends

This afternoon my friends Myles and Talia came over to play with me. Oh, their Moms, Mary and Janine came too!
We were a little shy at first, so we sat far apart...

The rain and chilly weather today allowed Lucas to wear some jeans that he may grow out before summer is over. If only he could bend his legs.

Pipers Lagoon

We just had the pleasure of having Pat's sister, Melanie (from Winnipeg), here for 4 days. She came to meet Lucas for the first time. Boy, he's sure going to be MUCH bigger next time she sees him! Now that she's gone and all the pictures are on the computer, I realize that we hardly took ANY photos of the two of them...darn it, darn it, darn it!!!

We went to Pipers Lagoon one day...one WINDY, WINDY day! What a beautiful place though!

I Would Like Some Dinner Too!

I have been going to bed soooo easily lately...until last night. Mommy had SUCH a hard time getting me to bed. Every time she put me down, BOING, my eyes would pop open and I'd be in hysterics in a matter of seconds. Mommy just couldn't enjoy dinner listening to that noise, so she brought me downstairs until dinner was over. These shots were taken after dinner, hence the abundance of crumbs!

Happy Canada Day!

Mommy had some cleaning to do today, so my Daddy decided to take me for a walk! He dressed me in my cute Canada suit that my Mommy got me as part of my gift from my Great-Uncle Lorne and Great-Aunt Gloria. Thanks you guys!


Time to choose the best-fitting hat. I haven't worn any hats since the knit ones from the hospital since my head just wasn't big enough.

It was really windy so Mommy's got me all bundled up here in my cozy I LOVE CANADA blanket from my Great-Aunt Louise. What a perfect day to use it! Boy she sure spoiled me with a lot of incredible handmade stuff! This particular blanket has legs so the blanket actually stays in place!
