Today was a big day. Our little boy 'graduated' from his swimming lessons. Not only did he graduate, he is now SUCH a big boy, that MOMMY doesn't have to go in the pool with him for the lessons! Today was our last class of the 8 week lessons, and the 'trial' of 'no-parents'. No problem for Lucas, he was SO proud! All morning at home, he was saying "I a BIG boy. I go wimming yessons aaaaaall by myself. Mommy stay home." Well, not quite. As much as he wanted me to stay home, he is still a bit young to drive himself there.....and get changed in/out of his clothes! Haha.
Getting set to do a front float!
Everyone is shutting their eyes for the treasure hunt!
Lucas found his 'treasures'!
"The parents on the bus say Sshhh, Sshhh, Shhh aaaall through the town"
Back float! This took several classes of Lucas screaming at the top of his lungs before he started to have some trust in us. Pat took him to the first lesson, and wouldn't go again due to said screaming, haha.
Playing "Fishie In The Middle" Each kid takes a turn going in the middle, while everyone else sings a song. The fish in the middle then has to blow bubbles to get free. They pick a fish of their choice. At this age, they are generally pretty outlandish fish. Lucas' fish choices are generally whatever was on his pyjama's that morning: Monkey Fish, Hockey Fish, Dinosaur Fish....you get the idea. The girls' fish choices are usually Princess Fish, or Pink/Purple Fishes. Nearly 3 year olds are too cute!
Very proud of himself for the big jump off the wall he just did!
And here's another!
"Alice the camel has FIVE humps..."
...now Alice has THREE humps. Lucas is trying so hard to figure out how to get his fingers to co-operate. We've been working on this at home, but he still struggles. It's so cute to watch!
