O' Christmas Tree~Season #2

Well folks, today was it. Tree-cutting day. We raced off this afternoon to beat the rain tomorrow. I'm afraid it will be our last year at this (super local!) farm...for a few years at least. With much larger crowds last year than expected, they are running out of trees! It was very slim pickin's this time!
"Whoa, look at those prickly needles!"

"Oh no! There's hardly any trees this year, how will we choose?"

Not so interested in cutting one down!

"Oooooh"

Aw, sweet boy :)

"This is the one...cut 'er down, Daddy!"

"Oh wait, I kinda like this one, it's just my size!"

"GASP, what happened?"

Mr. Serious and Santa

"All ready to go!"
Stayed tuned for the finished product!

'Baby' Group Party!

It's hard to believe it's been a whole year since our 'baby group' Christmas party. Last year, none of the babies could even crawl. This year was a whole other story!
Lucas had so much fun playing...unfortunately, I decided to ditch the camera early, so I didn't get any pictures of his friends, (other than Carter)...sorry!

Our big boy, all ready for the party!
"Uh, Carter, that's what I'm wearing!"
(and no, we didn't plan it...we just have good taste, haha. well, in Lucas' case, Grandma had good taste! Thanks Grandma!)

"No way, Lucas, we're wearing the same thing!"

Kathy and I, and the boys :)

Opening his Secret Santa present!

This is just some of the 'the gang'.

Gym Pals

On Fridays, Parks and Rec offers "Gym Pals"...a one hour, go-wild-and-crazy-in-the-gym, fun time!

The school bus full of balls is usually what Lucas hits up first!

"Weeeeee"
Funny this is the face I got...he had a huge smile, but I guess in this very second, his face was moving!

"Hmm, what's over there?"

"Ooooh, girls volleyball"
It is sooo hard to keep him on the right side sometimes!

He scores!

Bowling...his favourite! Who needs a ball?

They all fall down...including Lucas!

"Yahooooooooo, I love to JUMP!!!"

....and jump!

Tunnel time!

Santa Train

On Saturday we headed off to Port Alberni for a ride on Santa's....train! Although the train ride wasn't the most scenic, we had good company and a great visit afterwards!
Gary, Madi, and Coley~Our companions for the trip!
"WHO are YOU?"
(No tears though!!!)

Madi was a little skeptical until she saw that Lucas survived!

"Hi"

What a cool dude!

...and dudette!

The Daddies and their kidlets!

Lucas had a fun play at Madi's house after dinner!
New discovery: He looooves to shop! And talk on the phone...but we already knew that much! This particular phone was a big hit though, he didn't put it down the whoooole evening!
Madi: "I'm going to sit here and Lucas is going to pull me!"
Who needs snow?

...and Lucas complied!
A fun afternoon and evening was had by all...and the Himalyan Pink Salt chocolates was the icing on the cake...mmm, mmm....thanks 'Cole!!!!

December!

December has arrived, and brought a little sunshine with it! Lucas and I took advantage of that this morning and got outside!

"Weeeeeee"
Driving down the hill all by himself!

December 1st marks....the beginning of the Advent Calendar. When I brought it out, Lucas was suuuure excited! Of course, he had no idea what it was, but he just knew it had to be good! Even Finn was interested!

Finding the date.

Investigating his find.
He even opened it all by himself!

Let's taste it!

He approves!

...and even puts his own garbage away!

But try telling him you only get ONE per day!

He even thought his sign language might help..."please"

Visitors!

'Winnipeg' Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! Here they thought they were getting away for a little bit of nice weather before their winter started~not the case. It snowed, and snowed, and snowed while they were here!

Grandpa and Lucas, hard at play.

'High five!'

Watching the snow fall

He decided to 'help' set the table. He decided we needed water bottles!

The boys~watching TV and eating chips!

Checking Grandma out. Making sure she's ok to play with.

Yep, she is! "Look at my super hero, Grandma!!!"
