Well, it 'only' took me two weeks to get to it.....but HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lucas!
Our 'little' boy has turned THREE years old! Now, in a perfect world, I'd love to dig up some of my favourite pictures of him to date.........but we all know that's not going to happen! Life is busy, and just keeping up with the day-to-day events and blogging about them keeps me plenty busy. My to-do list is certainly not getting any shorter!
Anyway, onto the birthday events! Three is a fun age....minus the major temper tantrums and meldowns, and general orangutan behaviour that three year olds tend to exhibit. This birthday was extra special because it was the first one that Lucas actually had a concept of what happens on a birthday. He talked about his birthday for weeks. Who would be coming to his party, how old he would be....and the very first request....chocolate cake. Had to have chocolate cake.

Good morning, birthday boy! He was super excited to see balloons!

He can't believe there are really presents!

Another Richard Scarry book.....he sure loves those books!

A house with doors/doorbells on each side. He loves it!

Saying thank you to Maliya......she bought the house for him! Lol.

A monkey backpack for preschool!!!

He couldn't BELIEVE there were MORE presents inside!

What's a birthday without a few new cars?

Maliya was having a blast!
After a morning of birthday fun....it was time for some more fun....Dinosaur PARTY time!

Sweet Sophia!

....and her adorable brother, Finlay!
(the back of his helmet says "I do my own stunts" SO cute!)

The kids decorating their buckets for a 'Dinosaur Egg Hunt'

On the hunt!

Karen and Delaney!
(Nathan's Mom and sister)

Sophia and Nathan 'helping' Lucas with presents!

And cute pie Talia too!

Cake time!

Dinosaur cake! And if I can steal a Lucas-quote.....I made it aaaaall myself!

Make a wish!

Mmm.

I think Talia liked it too!
Aaaaand, later in the day......
Loving his card from Auntie Melanie and Uncle Carlo!

A very tired dinousaur, right before bath/bedtime!
Good night, birthday boy! We love you!
